Purchase and cancellation policies

It is important that you read this section for a better experience of your trip.

These policies have been created to avoid confusion and inconvenience to our visitors. Some of our policies are due to conditions set by other involved collaborators (parks, external transportation services, etc.).

Purchase Policies

At least 50% of the service cost must be paid at the time of booking to ensure availability. Before that payment, we will need to confirm that there are available spaces for the selected dates. The remaining contracted amount must be paid 48 hours before the event.

Important: once we confirm your pre-reservation, you will have 24 hours to make the payment.

Secure electronic payment systems (payment link or bank transfer for national accounts) are offered for payments. For payments through other means, you will need to check the conditions.

Cancellation Policies:

In the case of cancellations requested by the client:

In no case will the amount paid for the reservation (initial payment) be refunded.

In the event of natural events or phenomena, the Park Administration may completely close the Park for as long as necessary to protect human life. In this case, visits will be rescheduled based on space availability. In the event that the Park does not close the park, but the boat or land transportation lines decide that the trip is unsafe due to sea conditions or flooding, the tour dates may be changed, but the refund will not be available (Park refund policies apply).

In the event of cancellations due to the sole responsibility of Corcovado Tours, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.

Due to high demand to access Corcovado National Park, to guarantee your space, reservations can be made up to 6 months before the tour; we recommend making reservations at least one month in advance, especially in high season (December-April). Last-minute reservations are also accepted based on park and guide availability.

Transportation Policy:

It is the responsibility of each visitor to comply with the meeting point and agreed-upon time. If the client changes it with less than 48 hours’ notice, they must bear the additional costs associated with the modification of the already planned logistics.

Luggage Policy:

If luggage needs to be transferred from one destination to another, and there are valuable items or items that require special care, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform us in advance and indicate their value.

We will not be responsible for any damage to your luggage due to natural factors beyond our control.

In the case of luggage shipments to or from Sirena, since it will be left at the beach ranger station, we cannot be held responsible for its integrity until it is collected by the customer or by the boat transportation line staff.

If for any reason the hotel or place where we are instructed to leave it does not accept it, this luggage will be returned to the place of origin and will remain there until the customer picks it up. No refund will be given to the customer. If the customer wishes to have it shipped to their new destination, please note that this cost will be charged additionally.

Children Policies:

Children aged 12 and above pay for the full service.

Children aged 11 or younger pay a reduced fee for Corcovado packages, which varies depending on the package.

For all other activities, we apply the children’s policies of our providers. These are variable, so you must ask when making the reservation.

Depending on the service, children under 2 years old do not pay. Some activities are not recommended or not possible for children under 2 years old.

Important Notes:

Make sure the selected dates are correct before confirming your tour.

Once the service has been provided, there are no refunds.
