Purchase and cancellation policies

It is important that you read this section for a better experience of your trip.

These policies have been created to avoid confusion and inconvenience to our visitors. Some of our policies are due to conditions set by other involved collaborators (parks, external transportation services, etc.).

Purchase Policies

At least 50% of the service cost must be paid at the time of booking to ensure availability. Before that payment, we will need to confirm that there are available spaces for the selected dates. The remaining contracted amount must be paid 10 natural days before the event.

Important: once we confirm your pre-reservation, you will have 24 hours to make the payment.

Secure electronic payment systems (payment link or bank transfer for national accounts) are offered for payments. For payments through other means, you will need to check the conditions.

Cancellation Policies:

In the case of cancellations requested by the client:

There will be no refund of the 50% paid for the reservation under any circumstances.

In the case of cancellation more than one month in advance of the tour date, the second 50% of the total package amount will be refunded, if the full tour has been paid in advance.

In the case of cancellation with less than one month’s notice, the amount paid will not be refunded.

In the case of cancellations by the conservation area:

90% of the amount paid will be refunded.

In the case of cancellations by Corcovado Tours:

100% of the amount paid will be refunded.

In the case of cancellations due to weather or safety issues in the park vicinity (hurricanes, floods, road or bridge closures) beyond Corcovado Tours’ control:

Date changes will be offered to the client at no additional cost.

Due to high demand to access Corcovado National Park, to guarantee your space, reservations can be made up to 6 months before the tour; we recommend making reservations at least one month in advance, especially in high season (December-April). Last-minute reservations are also accepted based on park and guide availability.

Transportation Policy:

It is the responsibility of each visitor to comply with the meeting point and agreed-upon time. If the client changes it with less than 48 hours’ notice, they must bear the additional costs associated with the modification of the already planned logistics.

Luggage Policy:

If luggage transfer from one destination to another is required, and there are valuable or special care items, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform us in advance and indicate their value.

We will not assume responsibility for any damage to luggage due to natural factors beyond our control.

If for any reason the hotel or designated drop-off location does not accept it, this luggage will be returned to the place of origin and will remain there until the customer picks it up. No money will be refunded to the customer.

If the customer wants us to send it to their new destination, please note that they will have to bear this cost as an additional charge.

Children Policies:

Children aged 12 and above pay for the full service.

Children aged 11 or younger pay a reduced fee for Corcovado packages, which varies depending on the package.

For all other activities, we apply the children’s policies of our providers. These are variable, so you must ask when making the reservation.

Depending on the service, children under 2 years old do not pay. Some activities are not recommended or not possible for children under 2 years old.

Important Notes:

Make sure the selected dates are correct before confirming your tour.

Once the service has been provided, there are no refunds.
