About Corcovado National Park

Corcovado is one of the most spectacular national parks in Costa Rica. Located on the Osa Peninsula on the southern Pacific coast, this is one of the most biodiverse parks in the world.

The park can be accessed by boat leaving from Puerto Jimenez or Drake, or from: La Leona, Los Patos, San Pedrillo and Dos Brazos de Río Tigre, by land.

The Corcovado National Park has a station inside, Sirena, where food and lodging services are offered, upon reservation. The facilities have the necessary amenities to spend one or two nights. Reservations well in advance are recommended given the high demand that exists. For more information you can contact us with any questions.

The high biodiversity of the park is characterized by having several species of felines such as the puma, the jaguar or the ocelot, or unique species such as the tapir (tapir), tamandúa (anteater) or coatis (white-nosed coati. We also find countless birds, highlighting toucans and limpets (parrots).

In our rainforest tours, we found the four species of Costa Rican monkeys (howler, white-faced, marmoset or squirrel, and spider or red).

Herpetofauna lovers will be able to find various species of colorful amphibians and reptiles.

It is also worth highlighting the marine fauna present in the environment where you can observe several species of marine mammals or fish such as the bull shark. There are also coral reefs that house a large number of species as we can see on Caño Island.
